Shogren Performance Marine recently joined more than 170 boats which made the 165 mile trip from Miami to Key West for the 19th annual Florida Powerboat Key West Poker Run! The beautiful weather made for ideal water conditions for the trip south in our 2012 Nor-tech 39 Center Console. With a group of 12 aboard, we were able to enjoy the picturesque scenery and sights of the Keys!
Although the excitement which comes with Key West week long races was overshadowed with the tragedies that occurred at the event, attendance was greater than expected and people were enthusiastic to see the new hardware offered from Nor-tech and the other manufacturers present throughout the week.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Shogren Performance Marine participated in the Ft. Myers Powerboat Club, Sanibel/ Captiva Fun Run.
With more than 30 boats participating in this event, SPM ran the NEW 2012 Nor-Tech 34 Center Console. The Bright sun and light wind made for ideal water conditions.
Thanks to all who participated and visited with the Nor-Tech water display at Tarpon Springs after the run.

Shogren Performance Marine kicked off the 2011 River Shiver in style with the 2012 39CC Nortech which debuted for the NIOC Club Members.
This years even was a great turnout and had the largest River Shiver attendance ever.
Sunday was gorgeous weather for this time of year and everybody ran up the Chain O' Lakes starting at Famous Freddie's and made a few stops. The first stop was at Vicki's Place in McHenry for lunch and the Bear's kick off. After lunch everyone headed up the chain to Captain's Quarters in Antioch. Everyone later on headed up to Blarney Island. At the end of the day we all met back at Famous Freddie's in Fox Lake for dinner and raffle prizes.
Shogren Performance will be attending several events this season, and we hope to see you there!
2011 NIOC River Shiver Gallery
Shogren Performance Marine joined many familiar faces, old friends, and made a lot new ones at this year’s Lake Of The Ozarks Shoot Out held on August 26th, 2011. The Poker Run kicked off bright and early at Shady Gators. The weather and water were both too good to be true, hot, sunny and the perfect amount of waves to make for an enjoyable all day run. We made our way over to Big Dicks displaying a new 2011 43V Nortech. For the rest of the night we docked at Captain Ron’s exchanging run stories with fellow boaters. Thank you all for showing up at Lake of the Ozarks, hope to see you again next year!
Friday evening, NIOC hosted a welcome party for all with live entertainment and allowed us to showcase our 47 Outerlimits, 43 Sunsation, 46 Cigarette and 42 Fountain.
Although Saturday's weather started a bit dreary, the water conditions on Lake Michigan couldn't have been better! As participants headed north for the 25 mile run to Milwaukee, Shogren ran the 2011 42 Poker Run and 2009 46 Cigarette. Most event participants stopped for lunch at the Horney Goat Brewing Co or Barnacle Buds. After lunch the sun was out and many stopped at the Racine Yacht Club before winding up the day for the evening reception at the Kenosha Yacht Club.
Many thanks for NIOC for hosting a wonderful event! We look forward to participating again next year.
Shogren Performance Marine kicked off the 2011 Poker Run Season in style at the Poker Run America Ft. Myers, Florida Run.
There was a great turnout of boats with a strong showing of Nor-Tech's. We had the opportunity to run a New 2011 39 Center Counsel and a 43V with one of our customers.
Friday was a meet and greet with old friends and an opportunity to meet new ones.
Saturday was gorgeous weather and everybody ran up to Punta Gorda for lunch at Harpoon Harry's. The run up was a great 65 mile run that allowed us to run the Gulf and really showcase the Nor-Tech ride and quality. The trip back we ran the intercoastal and was able to really stretch out the boats and see what they could do for speed.
Saturday evening was another chance to visit with all the Poker runners and swap stories from the day.
Sunday the Gulf was picture postcard perfect and several of us decided to run to Naples to have lunch and come back. Clear Skies, perfect blue water and warm weather provided us an absolutely awesome run to Naples and back.
Many think a Poker Run is a bunch of people and their boats running together. Poker Runs are much more than just that. They are a great opportunity to spend with fellow boaters who enjoy the same passion for boating and excitement.

We had a great time running a beautiful 2003 Fountain 42 Lightning on the Chain Of Lakes for this year's River Shiver. Check out the pictures and the video of a pontoon running next to us going 80+!

Clearing late morning skies cheered up many of the 65 boaters who came out to take part in this year's Fun Run and Customer Appreciation event. "We were amazed and flattered that so many people turned out, despite the weather," said Scott Shogren, who - along with his team - hosts the annual event to say "thank you" to customers and the Chicago-area performance boating community.
